		<description>GAMIFIED ART DISCOVERY CONCEPT
Client: PersonalUX/UI Product Design · Four-week final projectFocus: Product strategy · UX research &#38;amp; synthesis · Information architecture · Content design

We designed a gamified art discovery app that helps people scan, understand, collect, and share artworks. Museum visits turning into a personal record of discovery and progress.

Role and Responsibilities

	I worked across UX research, concept development, synthesis, product strategy, information architecture, and content design. My responsibilities included conducting and synthesizing research, evaluating competitors and cross-category references, and playing a substantial role in developing the user flows and wireframes.

I also shaped how information about artworks, artists, challenges, and progression should be structured and presented. During the high-fidelity phase, my primary focus shifted toward gathering, organizing, and writing the product content while continuing to contribute to strategic and design decisions.

Problem Statement and Goals
	Art information can feel dry, overwhelming or inaccessible. Museum visitors often photograph artworks but rarely revisit those images or retain their context.
Our goal was to create an experience that makes art easier to understand, remember and explore - without distracting from the artwork itself.

Preparation
	We began by exploring opportunities around art, learning and digital engagement. This led to the idea of an “Art Translator” that could make artworks and their context easier to understand.

Through desk research, competitor analysis, surveys and interviews, we investigated how people engage with art, preserve memories and stay motivated. We also studied gamification principles and products such as Strava, Duolingo and Pokémon Go to understand how challenges, progression and social visibility could encourage continued exploration.

These insights made gamification a central part of the product direction:From “Shazam for Art” to “Strava for Art.”
Our findings informed three personas, journey maps and initial user flows. A sitemap and screen-architecture checklist helped us define the product structure and prioritize its essential features.

Implementation
	We translated the product strategy into wireframes, reusable components and an interactive prototype. Gamification became part of the experience through challenges, collections, personal progress and community activity.

Through several visual explorations, we found that a quieter interface gave the artworks and information more space. We therefore developed a scalable foundation built around three layers: Canvas, Content and Navigation.

This system formed the basis for the final high-fidelity screens and clickable prototype.

Key Challenges and Solutions
	Recognition was not enough because scanning an artwork creates only a short interaction. We connected each scan to collections, challenges, statistics and community activity to create longer-term value.

Gamification could easily become a distraction. We therefore focused on mechanics that support exploration such as challenges, collections and personal progress, while keeping the interface visually restrained.

The product contained overlapping areas because challenges, collections and detail pages shared similar information patterns. Reusable components and a shared content structure helped us create a more consistent experience.
&#60;img width="1920" height="1080" width_o="1920" height_o="1080" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/3aa2d707c466da43e0cc8f9eaf5f49b2c095e31552332da24308b9834da99bad/Photo-Scan-Flow.png" data-mid="252345076" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/3aa2d707c466da43e0cc8f9eaf5f49b2c095e31552332da24308b9834da99bad/Photo-Scan-Flow.png" /&#62;

The Product
	The final concept is structured around five connected areas:

Home brings together personal and community activity.Challenges provide short- and long-term collecting goals.Scanner recognizes artworks and reveals their context.Library stores artworks, artists, venues and collections.Profile visualizes personal progress, statistics and achievements.

The central prototype flow follows a visitor scanning a work by Caspar David Friedrich at Berlin’s Alte Nationalgalerie and adding it to an active challenge.

&#60;img width="1920" height="1080" width_o="1920" height_o="1080" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/e96d648dd07cc257e1bf7f9d2b5e017318350b0b0cb0a318ceccbc4627e72f7c/Scan-Info-Challenge-Profile-Screens.png" data-mid="252346012" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/e96d648dd07cc257e1bf7f9d2b5e017318350b0b0cb0a318ceccbc4627e72f7c/Scan-Info-Challenge-Profile-Screens.png" /&#62;

Outcomes and Learnings
	The result is a high-fidelity interactive prototype that connects art recognition with learning, collecting, progression and social engagement.

Personal statistics turn individual discoveries into visible progress. Users can export and share these summaries, extending the experience beyond the museum and making achievements part of the community.

The prototype establishes the product’s core experience and provides a strong foundation for future user testing and refinement.

Our main learning was that the concept became more distinctive when its strategic idea remained strong and the visual interface became quieter.

We started by asking how technology could explain art. We ended by exploring how it could help people build a lasting relationship with it.

		<description>TRAVEL APP CASE STUDY
Client: PersonalUser Experience ResearchFocus: Research synthesis · Ideation · Information architecture · User flows
We developed a travel app centered around activity-based travel, helping users plan trips based on their interests and the experiences they want to have.

	&#60;img width="5760" height="4096" width_o="5760" height_o="4096" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/0403ecca9881260d4aaf31040e19c05dce92f2bbbd12a970e4a0101b0167ab25/final-userflow.jpg" data-mid="251213162" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/0403ecca9881260d4aaf31040e19c05dce92f2bbbd12a970e4a0101b0167ab25/final-userflow.jpg" /&#62;Role and Responsibilities

	My role focused on research, ideation and translating findings into product structure. I helped identify gaps in our research, synthesize insights and turn them into an information architecture. This provided the foundation for our first user flows and helped us define the product requirements more clearly.

Problem Statement and Goals
	Our research revealed a fragmented planning experience: travelers move between multiple platforms to compare costs, find relevant activities and assess practical factors such as weather and local recommendations.
Managing a travel budget is overwhelming.Comparing travel offers across multiple platforms is inefficient.
Users struggle to discover activities that match their interests.Weather uncertainty makes trip planning stressful.Travelers lack trustworthy local recommendations.Our goal was to reduce this fragmentation by creating a more focused planning experience centered around users’ interests, while bringing relevant trip information into one place.
&#60;img width="5760" height="4096" width_o="5760" height_o="4096" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/18f9b4e1f5134879eed7d3df1f559f4d7f71b02da69018bb4d278e7d355a7ab1/Post-its.jpg" data-mid="251213169" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/18f9b4e1f5134879eed7d3df1f559f4d7f71b02da69018bb4d278e7d355a7ab1/Post-its.jpg" /&#62;

Design Process and Methodology
	We started with exploratory user research to understand how people plan trips, where friction occurs and what they need throughout the process. Interviews helped us uncover individual behaviors, goals and pain points, while surveys allowed us to validate recurring patterns across a broader group.

We synthesized these findings into personas, user journeys and user stories. Rather than treating these as isolated deliverables, we used them to identify priorities and translate research insights into the first structure of the product.

&#60;img width="5760" height="4096" width_o="5760" height_o="4096" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/3e44965e0bea73fa33df5a93151f122bec5336eac8f5b4fd9cb2bead5c834722/surveys.jpg" data-mid="251213166" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/3e44965e0bea73fa33df5a93151f122bec5336eac8f5b4fd9cb2bead5c834722/surveys.jpg" /&#62;

Key Challenges and Solutions
	One of the key challenges we identified was decision fatigue caused by information overload. Competitor products often present users with a large number of options, making it harder to quickly find relevant activities.

Instead of adding more choice, we focused on helping users narrow it down. Relevant filters and search controls were introduced at key moments in the journey, allowing users to refine results based on their interests and needs.

Outcomes and Learnings
	Further iteration revealed important gaps in our initial user flow. Revisiting these moments helped us refine the journey, reduce friction and create a more coherent experience.

The process showed me how research, structure and iteration continuously inform each other, rather than functioning as separate stages of the design process.

	CONTENT STRATEGY &#38;amp; SYSTEMS FOR ADOBE EXPRESS
Client: Adobe Inc
Product Launch / Growth StrategyFocus: Content Strategy · Systems Thinking · Data-informed Planning · Cross-functional Collaboration

Developing scalable content systems and using behavioral data and market insights to identify opportunities for Adobe Express across European markets.

	&#60;img width="1988" height="1092" width_o="1988" height_o="1092" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/06e63fe527f3e8c240b1141863c562f12b37eedf16830bdedda75058f015dcf4/Industry-Volumes.png" data-mid="245091206" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/06e63fe527f3e8c240b1141863c562f12b37eedf16830bdedda75058f015dcf4/Industry-Volumes.png" /&#62;

Role and Responsibilities

	My role increasingly moved upstream: analysing existing systems and user behaviour, identifying gaps and opportunities, and translating these findings into frameworks and strategic directions for cross-functional teams.
I developed frameworks to improve content quality, reduce friction in creative workflows, and support scalable production across multiple markets. This included analysing structural gaps in existing systems, redefining how content needs were identified, and building clear structures for weekly briefings, requirements, and collaboration.

Understanding the System
	Adobe Express operated across multiple markets, content categories and production teams. Before looking for individual solutions, I mapped how information, requirements and decisions moved through the existing system.

This helped surface recurring gaps between market needs, content planning and creative production, and showed where clearer structures could reduce friction.

Finding Gaps and Patterns
	By doing workshops with market teams, designers and existing content data, I looked for recurring gaps between what users were searching for, what markets needed and what the content system was currently providing.

Rather than treating these as isolated requests, I grouped recurring signals into patterns that could inform broader planning decisions.
&#60;img width="1000" height="704" width_o="1000" height_o="704" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/efd3b6ce58bbde8ab3751f97c79849de95562502f06fc9763a3e1796f1f5e6b4/Bildschirmfoto-2025-12-16-um-12.00.48.png" data-mid="251938579" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/efd3b6ce58bbde8ab3751f97c79849de95562502f06fc9763a3e1796f1f5e6b4/Bildschirmfoto-2025-12-16-um-12.00.48.png" /&#62;
&#60;img width="2838" height="1634" width_o="2838" height_o="1634" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/3b1a6e13a2e05b90f59d65526974ad51ff6bdfa1bd0fbe7deac6223dfb24201d/burger-comparison.jpg" data-mid="245091232" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/3b1a6e13a2e05b90f59d65526974ad51ff6bdfa1bd0fbe7deac6223dfb24201d/burger-comparison.jpg" /&#62;&#60;img width="1988" height="1092" width_o="1988" height_o="1092" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/06e63fe527f3e8c240b1141863c562f12b37eedf16830bdedda75058f015dcf4/Industry-Volumes.png" data-mid="245091206" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/06e63fe527f3e8c240b1141863c562f12b37eedf16830bdedda75058f015dcf4/Industry-Volumes.png" /&#62;

Using Data to Identify Opportunities
	Behavioral data added another layer to this process. Using Amplitude and seasonal forecasting, I analysed how demand changed around cultural and seasonal moments rather than relying only on assumptions or previous content calendars.

One analysis revealed a 300%+ increase in demand for printed cards around Valentine’s Day. While social content also increased, the disproportionate rise in print-related demand pointed to a more specific user need.
&#60;img width="2685" height="1980" width_o="2685" height_o="1980" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/2de19f3ff281611e60b68abad5f4cb2afdbaab8e370b041966bd464a1d7d173e/Valentines-Forecast-Kopie.jpg" data-mid="245091233" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/2de19f3ff281611e60b68abad5f4cb2afdbaab8e370b041966bd464a1d7d173e/Valentines-Forecast-Kopie.jpg" /&#62;

From Signal to Strategic Direction
	The finding shifted the question from what Valentine’s content should we produce? to how could Adobe Express respond to an emerging print use case?

This led to a recommendation to prepare earlier for the seasonal peak and explore a partner-led print activation, connecting digital creation with physical output. My role was to identify the opportunity and frame the direction; specialist teams could then take it forward.SIGNAL+300% printed-card demand

Turning Insights into Systems
	The same approach informed broader operational work. Insights from markets, design teams and content performance were translated into playbooks, guidelines and planning frameworks that could be reused across teams.

These systems helped create clearer inputs for creative production while maintaining enough flexibility for local market needs.
&#60;img width="1440" height="810" width_o="1440" height_o="810" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/8618631e9340cc548e45ce7b8e17f5207707c53a0e4028265cb5557aca6e2d19/geo-design-guide2-Kopie.jpg" data-mid="251937736" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/8618631e9340cc548e45ce7b8e17f5207707c53a0e4028265cb5557aca6e2d19/geo-design-guide2-Kopie.jpg" /&#62;&#60;img width="1440" height="810" width_o="1440" height_o="810" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/b68e1a788a2f384055b92784b2428966c0a4eb805f8bb1b1f0578923c3177d69/geo-design-guide6.jpg" data-mid="251937738" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/b68e1a788a2f384055b92784b2428966c0a4eb805f8bb1b1f0578923c3177d69/geo-design-guide6.jpg" /&#62;

Working Across Markets
	The work required continuous alignment across market, design, product, SEO, localisation and content teams. Different markets often surfaced different requirements, so the goal was not to impose one universal solution, but to identify what should be standardised and where local flexibility was necessary.
&#60;img width="1440" height="810" width_o="1440" height_o="810" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/4ab6790de78283607d28ea36e50dc908f55eea3465039e8982db00cf459a2d62/geo-design-guide5.jpg" data-mid="251937737" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/4ab6790de78283607d28ea36e50dc908f55eea3465039e8982db00cf459a2d62/geo-design-guide5.jpg" /&#62;

Outcome
	The work moved content planning away from isolated requests toward a more systematic approach based on user behaviour, market signals and reusable frameworks.

For me, it also marked an important shift in my own practice: from primarily developing creative solutions to identifying the patterns and opportunities that should shape them in the first place.

Role and Responsibilities

	As part of the design team at Scholz &#38;amp; Friends, I worked as Design Lead on the development of RWE’s new corporate identity across concept, visual language and application. My work included the development of graphic principles, typography, iconography and a system designed to work across multiple corporate touchpoints.

Problem Statement and Goals
	RWE was undergoing a fundamental transformation from a conventional energy company toward renewable energy. The identity needed to communicate this change while retaining the recognition, credibility and functional requirements of a major international energy brand.

Design Process and Methodology
	We explored visual principles derived from the company’s changing energy landscape, including wind, movement and topographic structures. These references were abstracted into a graphic language rather than treated as individual visual motifs, allowing the concept to operate as a repeatable system.
&#60;img width="8001" height="4500" width_o="8001" height_o="4500" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/77476a6eb0e76945085a14799ac4f64d3cfa748b4421bcd9fe10d48fc6b72918/191209_RWE_Case_024.jpg" data-mid="245066467" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/77476a6eb0e76945085a14799ac4f64d3cfa748b4421bcd9fe10d48fc6b72918/191209_RWE_Case_024.jpg" /&#62;
&#60;img width="606" height="340" width_o="606" height_o="340" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/82d562eac6378873c2c8785244a5151692432418412a48481d1d80c97dabfdb4/rwe-waves.gif" data-mid="245084626" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/606/i/82d562eac6378873c2c8785244a5151692432418412a48481d1d80c97dabfdb4/rwe-waves.gif" /&#62;

Key Challenges and Solutions
	The central challenge was balancing transformation with continuity: the identity had to signal substantial change without becoming disconnected from the existing organization. A modular visual system provided enough flexibility for different communication contexts while maintaining a recognizable underlying logic.
&#60;img width="8001" height="4500" width_o="8001" height_o="4500" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/2ef0cb5aec1a05601b01ca97d35a2fec83b1dd4feb3142957f276d58a9904335/191209_RWE_Case_027.jpg" data-mid="245066466" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/2ef0cb5aec1a05601b01ca97d35a2fec83b1dd4feb3142957f276d58a9904335/191209_RWE_Case_027.jpg" /&#62;&#60;img width="8001" height="4500" width_o="8001" height_o="4500" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/be7b436e29a004a8e5e763a477255489dd19cb5f9797d35f6bfc3c574f53f031/191209_RWE_Case_022.jpg" data-mid="245066465" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/be7b436e29a004a8e5e763a477255489dd19cb5f9797d35f6bfc3c574f53f031/191209_RWE_Case_022.jpg" /&#62;&#60;img width="8001" height="4500" width_o="8001" height_o="4500" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/3393a3ec7ea67d1aaa6774dd74973edc5445aad9f2e17cae8cce4bb1191f87d7/191209_RWE_Case_023.jpg" data-mid="245066458" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/3393a3ec7ea67d1aaa6774dd74973edc5445aad9f2e17cae8cce4bb1191f87d7/191209_RWE_Case_023.jpg" /&#62;&#60;img width="8001" height="4500" width_o="8001" height_o="4500" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/0e80c46a8abe420aa5c1aea4fe7d6f394fe6563ac9123cb1cfd5cd7dcfaf4dad/191209_RWE_Case_026.jpg" data-mid="245066460" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/0e80c46a8abe420aa5c1aea4fe7d6f394fe6563ac9123cb1cfd5cd7dcfaf4dad/191209_RWE_Case_026.jpg" /&#62;

Outcomes and Learnings
	The resulting identity could extend across corporate communication, digital applications, iconography and large-scale brand touchpoints. The project reinforced my interest in using design systems not simply to create consistency, but to translate organizational change into a coherent visual structure.

Creating an editorial and communication system capable of organizing the diverse content of one of Germany’s largest cultural institutions.

	Role and Responsibilities

	At Scholz &#38;amp; Friends, I worked on the visual and editorial development of communication for the Humboldt Forum. My responsibilities included translating the institution’s identity into structured editorial formats across print, digital and public-facing applications.

Problem Statement and Goals
	The Humboldt Forum brings together exhibitions, collections, events and perspectives from very different cultural and institutional contexts. The challenge was to create communication that could accommodate this complexity without losing clarity, accessibility or a recognizable institutional voice.

Design Process and Methodology

	I worked with typography, grids, hierarchy and modular layouts to establish principles that could respond to different quantities and types of information. Rather than designing isolated formats, the approach focused on creating repeatable structures that could accommodate changing content.

Key Challenges and Solutions

	The diversity of subjects and formats meant that rigid templates would quickly become restrictive, while too much flexibility would weaken coherence. A modular editorial system allowed content to change substantially while maintaining a consistent underlying information hierarchy and visual language.
&#60;img width="8001" height="4501" width_o="8001" height_o="4501" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/08c6b2e7438ad3191eb0a407bd783bfd92eba32a1958478eb959377b528bdeb8/200725_HUF_CASE-01.jpg" data-mid="245067062" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/08c6b2e7438ad3191eb0a407bd783bfd92eba32a1958478eb959377b528bdeb8/200725_HUF_CASE-01.jpg" /&#62;&#60;img width="4500" height="3000" width_o="4500" height_o="3000" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/dc71c063d5351c6d7f285ae87df3be3eb771571814a2625a90d9245119d9a94a/Mockup_02.jpg" data-mid="245067047" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/dc71c063d5351c6d7f285ae87df3be3eb771571814a2625a90d9245119d9a94a/Mockup_02.jpg" /&#62;

Outcomes and Learnings
	The resulting system translated the Humboldt Forum identity into a practical communication framework across multiple touchpoints. The project strengthened my understanding of editorial design as information architecture: establishing relationships between complex content before determining its final visual expression.

Developing a flexible editorial language for an independent magazine rooted in an international skateboarding community.

&#60;img width="1920" height="1080" width_o="1920" height_o="1080" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/8251f9020f38f183b077dc8161fd0e412a93372bdad78bed12a4fe60b0e74abb/bubbe2-cover.jpg" data-mid="245084989" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/8251f9020f38f183b077dc8161fd0e412a93372bdad78bed12a4fe60b0e74abb/bubbe2-cover.jpg" /&#62;

Role and Responsibilities

	As freelance Art Director, I took creative ownership of selected editorial projects, including the complete visual direction of the publications. My work covers editorial structure, typography, image treatment, layout systems and the translation of individual stories into a coherent publication.

Problem Statement and Goals
	The magazine needed enough visual consistency to establish a recognizable identity while allowing photographers, contributors and individual stories to retain their own character. The goal was therefore not to impose a rigid template, but to build an editorial framework capable of responding to very different material.

Design Process and Methodology
	I developed the publication through close engagement with photography, sequencing, typography and pacing, treating the magazine as a complete narrative rather than a collection of individual layouts. Flexible editorial rules provided continuity while allowing the visual treatment to change according to the content.
&#60;img width="3414" height="1920" width_o="3414" height_o="1920" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/2aec3292c1ba97bc1502ce81d2d36baa3a931c99554beaf0c72fd8c12d285e47/bubble-2.gif" data-mid="245086872" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/2aec3292c1ba97bc1502ce81d2d36baa3a931c99554beaf0c72fd8c12d285e47/bubble-2.gif" /&#62;

Key Challenges and Solutions
	Independent editorial work often involves heterogeneous material, changing inputs and limited production constraints. Instead of forcing every contribution into the same visual treatment, I used hierarchy, rhythm and recurring structural elements to create coherence across the publication.&#38;nbsp;
Typography is kept restricted. Only headlines and quotes play with different sizes, referring to editorial hierarchies of digital platforms.
&#60;img width="4606" height="2953" width_o="4606" height_o="2953" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/48ee1bd6a7c0b3976c990888643ac9689b4f3cd644ea258fe46adcf7adc1fa41/250523_BUBBLE-02_0229.jpg" data-mid="245087052" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/48ee1bd6a7c0b3976c990888643ac9689b4f3cd644ea258fe46adcf7adc1fa41/250523_BUBBLE-02_0229.jpg" /&#62;&#60;img width="4606" height="2953" width_o="4606" height_o="2953" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/771051a08cac6771042133dc8eda1ca1362a4a7d770cc2caef7a8d21d7830731/250523_BUBBLE-02_0231.jpg" data-mid="245087061" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/771051a08cac6771042133dc8eda1ca1362a4a7d770cc2caef7a8d21d7830731/250523_BUBBLE-02_0231.jpg" /&#62;

Outcomes and Learnings
	The resulting magazine combined a recognizable editorial voice with enough flexibility to reflect the culture and contributors behind it. The project remains an important part of my practice because it demonstrates how systems and strong art direction can coexist without reducing individuality.

	VISUAL IDENTITY SYSTEM
Client: Studio SchanzBrand identity / Digital designFocus: Identity design · Typography · Visual systems · Digital application · Art direction

Building a reduced visual identity that could operate consistently across the studio’s physical and digital presence.
	&#60;img width="8001" height="4501" width_o="8001" height_o="4501" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/aa6295a411d5896d40603cee5f1442bf77c5dcab19260c240df04599900e5b7e/200720_Studio_Schanz_Case_01-13.jpg" data-mid="245089404" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/aa6295a411d5896d40603cee5f1442bf77c5dcab19260c240df04599900e5b7e/200720_Studio_Schanz_Case_01-13.jpg" /&#62;

	Role and Responsibilities

	I developed the visual identity and its core design principles across typography, graphic elements and applications. The work extended from the identity itself into digital and communication formats, establishing a consistent system rather than a standalone mark.
&#60;img width="8001" height="4501" width_o="8001" height_o="4501" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/5f76b47006f257b21796d3e27beeed3dc7504aba167bd706d89deee459033813/200720_Studio_Schanz_Case_01-15.jpg" data-mid="245089402" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/5f76b47006f257b21796d3e27beeed3dc7504aba167bd706d89deee459033813/200720_Studio_Schanz_Case_01-15.jpg" /&#62;&#60;img width="1920" height="1080" width_o="1920" height_o="1080" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/cfad7ed3161b4ab463681d0223dcbd1a769210a5b1ce3bb557702e061518d279/Studio-Schanz-16x9.png" data-mid="245089279" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/cfad7ed3161b4ab463681d0223dcbd1a769210a5b1ce3bb557702e061518d279/Studio-Schanz-16x9.png" /&#62;

Problem Statement and Goals
	The identity needed to give the studio a distinctive presence without competing with the work and content it represented. The objective was therefore to create a restrained framework that could remain recognizable while accommodating changing imagery and applications.

&#60;img width="1060" height="757" width_o="1060" height_o="757" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/4db4fa4d54ae9c244a6069ff043a298c8fc6845cf13af42708bf7f8a83690739/200423-studioschanz-8-1060x757.jpg" data-mid="245089394" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/4db4fa4d54ae9c244a6069ff043a298c8fc6845cf13af42708bf7f8a83690739/200423-studioschanz-8-1060x757.jpg" /&#62;

Design Process and Methodology
	The process focused on reducing the identity to a limited set of repeatable visual principles and testing how these behaved across different formats. Typography, proportion and layout became central components of the system, allowing the identity to remain consistent without relying on decorative elements.

&#60;img width="8001" height="4501" width_o="8001" height_o="4501" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/71843b411b51976d21ce668bc190873ae136a69905be5e0a9e6fcad2d9bfe74a/200720_Studio_Schanz_Case_01-11.jpg" data-mid="245089406" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/71843b411b51976d21ce668bc190873ae136a69905be5e0a9e6fcad2d9bfe74a/200720_Studio_Schanz_Case_01-11.jpg" /&#62;&#60;img width="8001" height="4501" width_o="8001" height_o="4501" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/67f09565b1bd3cf9e8070199c63293877c08bfeb25b60a840869a964f0330468/200720_Studio_Schanz_Case_01-12.jpg" data-mid="245089408" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/67f09565b1bd3cf9e8070199c63293877c08bfeb25b60a840869a964f0330468/200720_Studio_Schanz_Case_01-12.jpg" /&#62;

Key Challenges and Solutions
	The main challenge was creating distinction with deliberately limited visual means. Rather than adding more elements, the solution relied on carefully controlled relationships between typography, space and composition to establish recognition across applications.

&#60;img width="8001" height="4501" width_o="8001" height_o="4501" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/0f2b23b5b902746aa942b279f7f55974caf47a8458fe436957d1042f05198c37/200720_Studio_Schanz_Case_01-14.jpg" data-mid="245089393" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/0f2b23b5b902746aa942b279f7f55974caf47a8458fe436957d1042f05198c37/200720_Studio_Schanz_Case_01-14.jpg" /&#62;

Outcomes and Learnings
	The resulting identity provided a flexible foundation for both digital and physical communication. The project demonstrated how a small number of clearly defined principles can produce a system with considerably more range than a collection of individually designed outputs.

Role and Responsibilities

	I worked on the strategic and conceptual development of a Berlin-focused experience, connecting research, narrative development and creative direction. My role was to structure the broader experience and define how its different physical and digital touchpoints could work together as one journey.

&#60;img width="2838" height="1634" width_o="2838" height_o="1634" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/6ea36d44e108e8c4a7e4c801d634127b4a2f40de548ba4b8760e7890fbeef48d/notes-05.jpg" data-mid="245082499" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/6ea36d44e108e8c4a7e4c801d634127b4a2f40de548ba4b8760e7890fbeef48d/notes-05.jpg" /&#62;

Problem Statement and Goals
	The challenge was to introduce a globally established technology brand within a city with its own strong cultural identity rather than simply applying an existing international campaign language. The experience needed to feel recognizably Tesla while establishing a credible relationship with Berlin and its audiences.

Design Process and Methodology
	The project began with research into cultural signals, locations, architecture and narrative references before developing several possible creative routes. These were translated into an experience architecture defining what audiences would encounter before, during and after the event across digital communication, physical spaces and interactive touchpoints.
&#60;img width="2392" height="1590" width_o="2392" height_o="1590" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/da27bf7d721fc3adcd388400e4df16d350a3b72d3d54811b0e95313c013f1435/Bildschirmfoto-2022-04-25-um-12.36.07.png" data-mid="245092590" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/da27bf7d721fc3adcd388400e4df16d350a3b72d3d54811b0e95313c013f1435/Bildschirmfoto-2022-04-25-um-12.36.07.png" /&#62;

Key Challenges and Solutions
	The key challenge was connecting multiple channels without reducing the idea to a conventional launch campaign. Building a narrative system around the customer journey created a common logic for social communication, spatial storytelling and on-site engagement while leaving room for each touchpoint to perform differently.

Outcomes and Learnings
	The resulting framework demonstrated how research and strategic structure could guide creative execution across an entire experience rather than a single communication format. It became an early example in my work of moving upstream from individual design outputs toward defining the system and narrative that shape them.

Role and Responsibilities

	As freelance Senior Art Director, I developed the key visual direction for the album and its wider campaign ecosystem. The work included the album identity and the translation of its visual language across physical formats, streaming platforms, digital communication and campaign placements.

Problem Statement and Goals
	The project required a visual identity strong enough to give the album its own recognizable world while remaining flexible across a wide range of formats and media environments. Rather than treating the cover and campaign as separate outputs, the goal was to establish a visual language that could connect the complete release.

Design Process and Methodology
	I developed a central visual direction and tested how its core elements could adapt across physical and digital formats. The system was then extended across album artwork, streaming assets, campaign communication and large-scale placements while maintaining a consistent atmosphere and recognition.

Key Challenges and Solutions
	A music release moves between radically different scales, from a small streaming thumbnail to physical packaging and large outdoor media. Building the campaign around a limited set of recognizable visual principles allowed the identity to remain coherent while adapting to each context rather than simply reproducing the same layout.

Outcomes and Learnings
	The campaign accompanied a chart-topping release and appeared across major platforms and placements, including Spotify, YouTube Music and Times Square. The project demonstrated the value of establishing a strong central idea first and using it as a system capable of maintaining coherence across channels, formats and scales.
